As far as I've seen everybody wants to become a hacker and mod the things to his own requirement and believe me or not hackers are respected everywhere but when the extent it's only white hat.....
Since Android is an open source platform and anybody can mod it as one wishes to mod it. That's the reason I love this OS and dedicated a Facebook page and this blog to it..
Hats off to the developers....
Now as I told you that android is open source and can be modded by anyone that's the reason we see so much custom ROMs and custom builds every now and then..
Now the question is how to mod the things...?
Well here I'm to answer you..
We need to decompile the apps and jars that we wanna modify and this doesn't require that much knowledge...
In this post I'll give you the best software and apps that will help you to become a Modder or ROM developer. I too am posting things related to ROM development these days but some people don't know the basics of modding that's why I'm here..
Now let's start up!!!
What is decompiling and recompiling??
Each app and jar is not in its original source form it's encrypted into binary XML files and classes.dex file contains the java classes.
Decompiling means breaking an app or jar to nearly its source form and recompiling means bringing it back to the binary form.
How to decompile an app...?
Well a great thanks to the xda developers ibotpeaches & per.pqy
who built the decompiling and recompiling tools for PC and Mobile respectively known as Apk-Tool.

How to set up and access Apktool
Now after you decompile the app you're free to edit the app as you wish and also I will keep on posting guides for you.
To edit or theme your ROM you should always import
framework-res.apk as your framework in apktool otherwise you'll get errors..

Android [click the framework-res.apk and then select import as framework]
